Automation Senior Electrical Designer Jobs

We offer you to work full time ( 38hrs) spread over 4, 4.5 or 5 days a week;

5+ Years of experience in Electrical design of industrial equipment and packages

Experience in water and wastewater treatment process design would be an asset

5+ Years of strong knowledge with AutoCAD Electrical drafting software

Execute drafting and design duties using AutoCAD Electrical

Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components and assemblies

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the design, management and launch of special purpose machinery

Excellent communications, negotiating, conflict management, and problem solving skills.

Project Management of mechanical builds to produce quality results on time & within budget

Mechanical Design Manager - Automation

Automation and special purpose machine design and preparation of mechanical drawings

Apply creativity in converting verbal concepts or rough sketches into 3D CAD designs

Act as project manager for automation projects.

Five to ten years of relevant experience.

Support the plant operations by acting as a technical expert in automation.

Act as electrical technical expert for the internal and external projects, by approving electrical plans and procedures.

Define and ensure the maintenance of standards in control and automation.

University degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent diploma (member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec).

Project management including cost and schedule tracking/reporting, stakeholder engagement and coordination of internal and external resources

Utilize and support Management of Change (MOC) processes

5 to 15 years of upstream oil & gas or relevant industry engineering experience

2+ years’ of experience with the design of instrumentation systems including pressure, level, flow, temperature and toxic gas measurement

2+ years’ of experience with the design of power distribution systems, utility and power generation, variable frequency drives and starters

Knowledge of EI&C systems engineering design, construction and testing documentation and project deliverables

A working knowledge of common machine shop techniques.

Must have a thorough knowledge of drafting principles.

A thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics.

A thorough knowledge of the use of electrical devices (i.e. switches, load cells, LVDT’s, etc.).

Must demonstrate a strong ability to conceptualize and create solutions for complex design requirements.

Must have strong written and oral communication abilities.

Excellent interpersonal skills (must be willing to communicate with all levels of management)

Time management and delivering on time with quality

Prepare cost estimates and assist in the preparation of project schedules, and progress reports as required by the project managers

Interact with other team members and external stakeholders regarding project requirements and progress updates

3+ years of relevant experience in design of electrical transportation systems

Working knowledge with AutoCAD and AGi32

Organize, document, and present technical design reviews and project management overviews with minimal assistance

Hands on electric/electronic installation, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience

Minimum 4 years previous experience in a custom automated equipment builder work environment

Good working knowledge of hardware/software interfacing

Manufacturing experience is a strong asset

Strong team player and excellent people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels

Post-Secondary education – Completion of College or University in Electrical Engineering/Design. including Mechatronics, Industrial, and Electromechanical disciplines.

Minimum eight (8) years of experience as an Electrical Designer.

Proven knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.

In Mold Labelling knowledge is an asset.

Strong communication and computer skills.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude. Attention to detail.
