Automation, Electrical & Measurement Engineer

Our client, a major Oil & Gas company, is seeking an AEM Engineer to work a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension in Calgary, AB.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project execution including design, procurement, acceptance testing, application integration, construction and commissioning
• Project scoping and development including business cases, stakeholder presentations and approvals
• Project Engineer working closely with Electrical and Measurement Lead and Automation Advisor
• Utilize and support Management of Change (MOC) processes
• Provide technical input for automation development by System Integrators and Vendors
• Support Automation, Process Control and Operational Technology future state planning and development
• Provide discipline engineering technical support to Operations, Maintenance and Project Teams (including brownfield, greenfield, pilots and special projects)
• Project management including cost and schedule tracking/reporting, stakeholder engagement and coordination of internal and external resources

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ of experience with the design of power distribution systems, utility and power generation, variable frequency drives and starters
• 3+ years’ of experience with the design of AEM solutions using RTUs, PLCs, SCADA, communications, data historians and real-time analytical and visualization systems
• Registered P.Eng. in Alberta
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Knowledge of EI&C systems engineering design, construction and testing documentation and project deliverables
• 2+ years’ of experience with the design of instrumentation systems including pressure, level, flow, temperature and toxic gas measurement
• 5 to 15 years of upstream oil & gas or relevant industry engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Electrical, Process Control, Instrumentation or relevant degree
