The ideal candidate will have skills in designing embedded hardware and firmware with microcontrollers and has knowledge of IoT technologies such as LoRaWAN, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. What You'll Do:

·Help build solutions using new & existing industrial IoT devices

·Collaborate with the team in designing and building prototypes, testing, and provisioning

·Attend project progress meetings with developers, engineers, and vendors

·Attend daily stand-up meetings to report on progress and blockers

·Investigate prototype, production, and field issues

·Collaborate with developers and engineers on implementation and design

·Assist with the development of test plans and solution engineering

·Develop equipment setups, documentation, and continuous improvement strategies

Required Skills:

·Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and PCB assembly

·Proficiency in C/C++ firmware development for microcontrollers

·Proficiency in a scripting language like Python or JavaScript

·Linux / Bash Experience including SSH and associated command line tools

·Working knowledge of git and Azure Dev Ops or GitHub; including branching and pull requests

·Networking basics with a web browser, HTTP, and REST APIs

·Transport technology basics of WIFI, LTE cellular, and Bluetooth

·Excel, Word, and Microsoft Windows

·Email and collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Slack

·Ability to develop and perform test cases, follow directions, and capture test results

·Ability to troubleshoot with problem-space partitioning and logic

·Use of hand tools including JTAG, SWD debugger, voltmeter, screwdriver, and soldering iron

·A strong desire to learn and take on new and challenging responsibilities

Nice to Haves:

·Working knowledge of TLS certificates, private/public key cryptography

·Working knowledge of LoRaWAN, WIFI, LTE cellular, and Bluetooth

·Agile or Scrum methodologies

·Stage-gate process

·Knowledge of Embedded Linux and kernel development

·Mechanical 3D CAD design with Fusion360, Inventor, or Solidworks

·Electronics design with Altium Designer

Experience/Education:

Post-Secondary degree or the equivalent in work experience
