Mechanical Engineer (Contract) Jobs

Matrix HR is currently recruiting for a Plant Services Mechanical Engineer for a client of ours located in Kitimat BC. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension. This is a Monday to Friday days, 40-hour work week position, with occasional weekends and nights.

Pay Rate: $50/ hour.

Responsibilities

• Governs the effective execution of business-defined maintenance planning processes.
• Identifies and manages strategic maintenance requirements that involve integration across multiple sites or asset groups.
• Prepares for maintenance activities ensuring that all labor, material, and equipment resources are planned for execution.
• Is responsible for team training and development, safety compliance, task assignment, and productivity.
• Analyses maintenance data to identify improvement actions for asset strategies and tactics.
• Undertakes all post-work execution tasks and maintenance administration to support ongoing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) data and systems improvement.
• Collects and collates work management data for review and identification of improvement actions.
• Collaborates closely with operational and other relevant stakeholders in the performance of duties.
• Analyses maintenance data to identify improvement actions for asset strategies and tactics.
