Senior Mechanical Engineer Jobs

Airy Point is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at Airy Point, you will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of industries including healthcare, municipal infrastructure, industrial, oil and gas and commercial construction. Location:

• BC Lower Mainland - Remote
• Must reside in British Columbia

Position:

• Contract - Hourly

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) license with EGBC
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically upstream natural gas processing
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design

Required experience:

• Understanding of mechanical systems, such as pumps, compressors, valves, and piping
• Knowledge of materials selection, fabrication, and welding techniques
• Experience with specifying mechanical equipment
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g. API, ASME, ASTM, CSA)
• Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Ability to perform technical calculations and analysis, such as stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, and heat transfer calculations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, and project teams

Preferred candidate will have experience with:

• Bluebeam PDF editor
• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and practices
• Experience with project cost estimating and budgeting
• Working in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
• Trello project tracking tools
• Field Engineering
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices
