The work completed at Axis Forestry is unique as we are the only company in North America that manufactures the entire tree processor head and computer control system. You will be joining an innovative and hardworking team that thrives on solving complex challenges that exist in the industry.

Job Duties:

• Liaison with the company President, Manufacturing Team Leader, Shop Team Leader, Parts Team Leader during the design review, validation and manufacturing phases.
• Assist the supply chain staff with bills of materials and new part numbers.
• Assist in the design of the jigs required to manufacture and assemble the product.
• Build conceptual and pre-production 3D models, manufacturing drawings with technical instructions.
• Design the Rebel brand of tree processor attachments during its full life cycle from concept to continual improvement.
• Assist SOP document writer in developing technical manuals, procedures and continual document improvement.

Qualifications:

• B.Eng, M.Eng, P.Eng Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Knowledge of steel materials and welding a strong asset
• Knowledge of mobile hydraulics and electrical systems is a strong asset
• 3 years+ experience preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 products
• Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Experience with simulation tools (FE analysis, etc.)
• Professional work ethic and positive attitude required
• Proficiency with Solidworks 3D CAD

Salary: $66,000.00-$89,000.00 per year
