Program Manager, Amazon Logistics Planning

At Amazon, we're looking for a Sr. Program Manager for our North America Logistics team.

Responsibilities Include

• Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference
• Facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders (Ops/Delivery Stations/FCs/SCs) and resolve any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity.
• Configure the inputs driving shipping decisions for packages in our global transportation network.
• Assess simulation results and the business impact of trends.
• Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools are used by Transportation and Operations.
• Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
• Provide real-time customer experience by working in 24*7 operating environment.
• Work across the NA organization in a cross-functional environment with the Delivery Stations, Fulfillment Centers, Technology teams, and the Retail organizations to determine future demand, and translates this forecast information into accurate capacity plans and makes system adjustments to manage to the plan.
• Define metrics to measure transportation performance and drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce non-value added work.
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that they are delivered.
• Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Maintain and report up-to-date and accurate statistics, management reports, and analysis.
• Problem solve and design solutions for Amazon's transportation network, support large scale transportation programs.
• This role can be located out of Bellevue, WA, Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, Toronto, ON, or Vancouver, BC.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
