We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Manager for one of our customers in the wholesale building materials industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our logistics operations, with a particular emphasis on inventory, shipment accuracy and container freight. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials, products, and equipment from suppliers to our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
·Oversee the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery.
·Manage and maintain inventory accuracy by implementing and overseeing inventory management systems and processes.
·Analyze inventory levels and develop strategies to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts.
·Coordinate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure accurate scheduling of shipments and delivery times.
·Monitor and track container shipments to ensure that they are delivered to the correct location and in the correct quantities.
·Manage container shipments and customs clearance with all disruptions that may occur during the shipment process.
·Identify and mitigate risks to the supply chain, including potential disruptions or delays.
·Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
·Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics data.
·Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and trade compliance.
·Manage logistics budgets and report on logistics performance to senior management.
·Supervise and manage logistics team including time management and hiring process.
·Develop and maintain KPI metrics.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
·At least 5 years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on inventory and shipping.
·Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
·Ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
·Strong negotiation skills.
·Experience in international container freight and customs clearance.
·Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
