Logistics Manager - Cernavoda 1 Project

Manage logistics, traffic, customs, and duties for the Cernavoda 1 project. from the time of delivery up to turn over to the client (internal or external). Provide support to the Director Procurement and Project Management as required. Develop and implement Logistics procedures, plans, and objectives to ensure compliance with the quality program, international trade rules, Incoterms and other regulations as required. Ensure that adequate resources are available to comply with procedures, process, and requirements for the scope of each project as it applies to Logistics Management.
Your role within the team

• Custodian of Logistics procedures and plans related to the C1 Project.
• Interface with custom brokers and designated forwarders for the movement of goods to and from the customer site.
• Ensure compliance to regulations related to safe transport of Radioactive materials as per IAEA, IATA, ICAO regulations.
• Ensure compliance to the program, procedures, and system requirements.
• Recommend budget allocations for logistics activities related to offshore project proposals.
• Maintain adequate records of all activities performed.
• Responsible for arranging return of Candu Tooling including Radioactive classification tool sets.
• Establish and manage internal and external communications with various stakeholders as required.
• Monitor implementation and performance of the logistics plan.
• Establish, plan and execute the project Logistics plan.
• Responsible for arranging return of goods from offshore customer site for supplier warranty repairs/ replacement.
• Manage activities for the movement of materials to off-shore customer sites.
• Responsible for compliance with Canada customs, International Trade, CNSC and other inter-governmental agencies in Canada/USA related to Candu import and export requirements of Controlled nuclear equipment, parts, and technical data.
• Ensure all controlled goods and technical data are being shipped or issued under a valid export permit and export license.

• Good written communications capabilities and analytical skills.
• Effectiveness and efficiency of the flow of goods to and from offshore sites.
• Identification of training requirements of division staff and implementation of training programs.
• Achievement of business plan targets, including budget objectives set out by the project.
• Thorough knowledge of established logistics and material management principals, systems, regulations, and contractual terms.
• Degree in Logistics or Materials Management from a recognized university or technical institute or equivalent combination of education and experience which equates to at least 10 years of experience of Logistics management.
• Accuracy and currency of logistics and material management information.
• Good leadership and motivational skills; and
