It Project Manager - Healthcare (Contract)

• Deliver updates to Executives on key organization wide initiatives
• Upgrade multiple legacy systems on Windows Server platform
• The ability to lead project teams and foster relationships and communications amongst team members internally and externally.
• Knowledge of Security Requirements for both network infrastructure and applications
• Deliver net new or upgrades to legacy applications and systems
• Manage the daily operational aspects of a project providing project management expertise and guidance, enforcing project standards, anticipating and troubleshooting issues and minimizing the hospital’s exposure to risk.
• Lead the development of standard operating procedures and business processes for the delivery and communication of projects.
• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
• Experience preparing and maintaining monthly consolidated project financial reports, managing invoice payments, accrual and reconciliation.
• Experience delivering projects in the Technology and the Healthcare industry.
• Strong familiarity with related management software, such as MS Project, Visio, MS Office, SharePoint
• Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities in a complex environment.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Flexibility in responsibilities and able to take on multiple projects with varying scope and lengths across multiple departments with a technological aspect
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Experience and understanding of how to effectively manage change, integration and improvement projects.
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement and exposure to eHealth an asset.
• Key Responsibilities:Produce project work plans in coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, deliverables, budgets, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, monitoring, and post project audit/evaluation.
• Drafting business cases and proposals for senior leadership review and approval
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Coordinate all internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• 5+ years in managing large Programs with multiple work streams
• Demonstrated experience in team and resource management.
• Experience with migrations from on-premises systems to cloud
• Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
• Manage large programs with multiple IT work streams
• Contributes to the development and evaluation of RFP.
• Responsible for the delivery of key Network upgrades and implementations
• Develop, manage and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story.
• University or College graduates in Computer Science or Information Systems or Healthcare Administration related field.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing
• Contribution and leadership in the continuous process improvement of Project Management Best Practices is integral to the role.
• Knowledge of clinical processes and experience in healthcare environment is preferred.
• Manage multiple Project Managers to deliver key capital initiatives
• Coordinate all internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of project.
• In-depth knowledge of PMIs project management (PMBOK) methodology and experience in developing business cases, project charters, executive summary reports, and statement of work (scope definition) documents
• Plan, schedule and manage project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools within the PMO.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and resources and recommend budget changes where necessary.
• Healthcare experience and/or experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred.
• Travelling between our three sites, Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, Queensway Health Centre is required for this role.
• Experience in deliver upgrades and or new applications within a healthcare environment
• Prior Project Management experience at THP with experience leading relocation of systems, and system refreshes
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously.
• Qualifications & Skills:At least 10+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
