Your Role 

 

Join our team as a Project Manager with the Northern Ontario business unit.

 

In this role, you will work with a team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. We’re looking for experienced project managers who are looking for the right opportunity to leverage their reputation working on complex projects in the healthcare sector. Over the years, Colliers Project Leaders has delivered many hospital, long-term care and community health projects as well as medical equipment planning and advisory services for the healthcare sector across Canada.

 

  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Managers, Principals or Vice President.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues.
  • Regularly reporting on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports.
  • Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s strategy and goals.
  • Lead programs or work and large capital projects, varying in size and scope.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents.
  • Select, organize and influence the performance of multi-disciplined project teams.
  • Oversee the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures.

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience delivering healthcare projects is a strong asset.
  • 4 - 8 years of project management experience, representing owners in the delivery of building developments.
  • Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment.
  • Experience working with public sector clients would be an asset.
  • Effective client management and people management skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues.
  • Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Project Management Professional designation (PMP).
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management.
  • Detail oriented leader with the ability to work in a process driven environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
