Your Role


We’re looking for experienced project managers who are looking for the right opportunity to leverage their reputation working on complex projects in the healthcare sector into a successful leadership role with the Eastern Ontario business unit. Over the years, Colliers Project Leaders has delivered many hospital, long-term care and community health projects as well as medical equipment planning and advisory services for the healthcare sector across Canada.


Responsibilities


  • Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones and reviewing project progress
  • Provide financial framework, forecasts and cost tracking and regular financial reporting;
  • Secure additional major capital healthcare projects in Eastern Canada
  • Prepare project progress reports on project status, project schedules, project expenditures and impending actions
  • Leverage your network to assist with the identification of new project opportunities.
  • Plan and coordinate project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, record management
  • Assist clients with defining project requirements, key milestones and success criteria,
  • Understand and represent your clients’ best interests regarding project outcomes.
  • Manage client relationships and be attentive to new or changing requirements
  • Consult directly with clients and stakeholders to successfully complete several acute-care, long-term care and community healthcare projects, varying in size, scope and complexity
  • Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects
  • Manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget


Qualifications


  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • A university degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
  • Specialization in pursuing, securing and leading major healthcare projects
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project management and client-facing roles
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
