Production Coordinator: Technical Art (Mid/Senior)

Rockstar Toronto is on the lookout for a Production Coordinator to join our Shotgrid team in Technical Art. This role will assist in making some of the most highly respected and widely recognized AAA titles in video games. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Oakville.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, and an exceptional communicator with a meticulous attention to detail. Previous production experience, as well as an understanding of task management and project management methodologies is a huge plus.

• Production Coordinators work to improve global communication between various disciplines of Art, Code and Design to ensure there is a clear workflow, with transparency of moving parts, to our fellow developers.

• We proactively use knowledge and experience to identify and solve problems before they affect our development teams.
• We collaborate with Artists, Developers, Leads and Directors to schedule, track, and complete team goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain communication between departments and fellow associates on developing shared workflows.
• Proactively identify and resolve production issues.
• Serve as a point of contact for prioritizing incoming requests and questions.
• Maintain an active awareness of team goals and timelines.
• Working with leads to create and maintain effective documentation.
• Assign, prioritize, and track tasks using our in-house project management tools.
• Understand the needs and workflows of the Shotgrid team and connected teams, proactively helping to streamline our project management processes.
• Assist development teams in identifying and resolving issues preventing progress.
• Assist in tracking and scheduling tasks for our production team across various departments.
• Help manage the flow of tasks and information between disciplines and team members.
• Ensure meetings are properly documented and actioned.

Qualifications

• Experience with Shotgrid, Confluence, and other project tracking and bug database software.
• Proven industry experience in a production role on at least one AAA title or in VFX, film or TV with understanding of production pipelines

PLUSES

• Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python.
• Experience contributing to the maintenance of a project plan and schedule.
• Experience with Maya, Motionbuilder, and 3dsmax.
• Genuine enthusiasm for video games; especially Rockstar titles.
• Experience managing web content (wikis, dashboards, etc.).
• Production experience working in games, entertainment, technology, or similar creative industry.
• Experience hosting meetings, presentations, and workshops.
