Systems Administrator Jobs

Vintage & Niagara's Finest Hotels are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our growing corporate team!

What you'll be doing:

• Install, configure and troubleshoot computers, servers and network infrastructure.
• Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly while following the Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring maximum system performance and uptime.
• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, telephone systems and hardware.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Provides anti-virus management.
• Manage and Maintain the Windows Updates platform.
• Assists in monitoring network security and performance.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
• Track and resolve issues via IT ServiceDesk System.
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties Limited’s’ products and services.
• Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new and existing servers as needed.

What you'll bring to the team:

• Required technical skills:
• 3+ years of experience related to the corresponding technologies.
• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Data Communications or Information Security.

1. Cisco IOS with strong knowledge of Routing, VLANs & QoS
2. Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization with High Availability
3. Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2, 2016 & 2019

• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS, DHCP.

2. Microsoft Office 365 & Other Cloud Platforms
3. ManageEngine ITIL Software Suite
4. Veeam Backup & Replication.
5. SonicWall Next-Gen Firewall
6. Mitel Telephony Suite including Call Centre
7. HPE & Lenovo Hardware
8. IP CCTV Cameras and NVR Software

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Preferred)
• Previous experience in the Hospitality Industry considered an asset
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) considered an asset
• Experience supporting a Call Centre environment considered an asset
• Ethernet and telecom cabling considered an asset
• CompTIA Network+ and A+ considered an asset
