We are currently seeking a Junior Global Systems Administrator to join our team of skilled professionals in our IT department based in Mississauga, ON. This position reports to the Global Core Infrastructure Manager.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Provide level 1 support (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in accordance with department SLA’s.
• Respond to outside of business-hours emergency systems issues as part of an on-call rotation.
• Monitor security state, standards, and policies of the manufacturing computing environment in accordance with IKO’s Information Security Framework
• Help ensure uptime and security through coordinated application and OS patching.
• Work extensively with the SysAdmin team, engineering, and manufacturing end-users to support and maintain IKO’s virtualized manufacturing/Rockwell computing environments.
• Responsible for monitoring performance and capacity of IKO’s manufacturing computing environments and escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for technical procedures, policies, and standard processes related to IKO’s manufacturing computing infrastructure.
• Ability to quickly resolve issues but also recognize when issues should be escalated.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Collaborative team player who can effectively participate in departmental level meetings and positively influence outcomes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• 1 or more years of experience in an IT role service desk or above in large enterprise of 1000 users or more
• Experience supporting a high uptime manufacturing type environment
• As a project team member, ability to execute assigned tasks on time with guidance from other team members.
• Uphold 'best practice' standards as well as departmental policies and procedures.
• Solid understanding and experience working with VMWare ideally in a multi-site environment supporting manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of licensing models and practice, enterprise inventory tools, all to ensure compliance is maintained
• Valid passport and ability to travel globally as required.
