A national pharmacy in Markham is looking for a full-time, permanent Pharmacy Patient Coordinator to join their team. In this non-retail setting, you will work with a team of other healthcare professionals to support delivery and patient care by assisting in patient communication, data entry, adjudication, and other duties as required to ensure that operations are running efficiently.

We are seeking qualified pharmacy assistants in the Markham area with availability to start as soon as possible.

Permanent Opportunity
Full time, 40 hour week with the potential for overtime
Rotation of 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7 AM - 7 PM, Monday-Friday, with an additional, shortened shift taking place on one Sunday per month based on an equitable rotation.

Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Patient Coordinator:
  • Process prescription and order intakes and enter into Kroll
  • Handle adjudication and resolve billing-related issues
  • Communicate with patients via phone and email
  • Work with team members to support the patient-facing operations of the pharmacy
  • Enter delivery information and ensure that the utmost care is taken in the delivery of prescriptions to patients
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Patient Coordinator:
  • The ideal candidate is a self-motivated worker who is comfortable in dedicating themselves to a task through to its completion
  • Experience working in a pharmacy of any setting in Canada in a role which has involved processing prescriptions (including adjudication/billing) and direct patient communication
  • Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must
  • Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills and a high level of competency with computers is required
  • Ability to work a regular 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 pm with full availability on each day from Monday-Friday is required; specific shift hours will rotate and the schedule will be provided well in advance
  • There is potential for candidates with supervisor/leadership experienced to be considered for more elevated roles
