Pharmacy Shipping Coordinator Jobs

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Supplies management; monitor and replenish shipping materials as needed

Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Ensuring the daily receiving, shipping and inventory control aspects of the pharmacy are maintained including:

Quarantining of product: relating to all inbound receipts and returns as outlined in the pharmacy SOPs

Managing inventory movement in a FIFO or FEFO manner (first-in-first-out, first-expiry-first-out)

Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;

Excellent language and communication skills;

Computer proficiency, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook;

Experience working in SAP is required

2+ years administrative support experience preferred;

Post-secondary education in a business related field considered an asset;

Use personal transportation to meet operational requirements.

Recognize and deal with emergent situations.

Plan, organize, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and evaluate service and employees.

Recommend and implement procedures and policies relating to pharmacy services.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, other health care providers, community agencies, and the public.

Work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team.

Post-Secondary level education (College Diploma or higher) in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.

Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Administration and Customer Service required.

Experience with Quality Systems is desired.

Experience with Shipping & Logistics is desired.

Ability to anticipate issues and manage through to resolution in a proactive manner.

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated team development and change management skills.

Coordinates inventory management, physical inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.

Post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D., MSc., Ph.D. or equivalent) with relevant post-graduate training and or clinical experience

Two (2) years clinical experience in Oncology an asset

Applicants must be eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the province of Nova Scotia

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent, Part-time / 50% FTE / 37.5 Hours Bi-weekly

Manage information related to shipment dimension and other pertinent information

Experience in a transportation, warehouse and distribution environment is preferred

Strong experience in outbound shipments and shipping paperwork processing

Minimum of two years (five years preferred) experience in pharmacy practice is required

Previous administrative experience in pharmacy an asset

Experience with research and program development

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

Must possess some computer and/or data entry skills; experience with ERP & WMS systems is preferred

5+ years of hands-on experience in Shipping and Receiving required, ideally in a manufacturing environment

There is potential for candidates with supervisor/leadership experienced to be considered for more elevated roles

Strong verbal & written communication skills and a high level of competency with computers is required

Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must

• Coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders for pick-up and tracking of goods

• Negotiating best pricing and staying informed on market conditions

• Assisting with loading scheduling and maintaining customer database

Knowledge of shipping software, such as ClickShip, UPS WorldShip, or FedEx Ship Manager is an asset but not required

Maintain inventory levels, track inventory movements, and manage restocking

1+ year of experience in shipping, fulfillment, or a related field

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify is an asset but not required

Pick, pack, and ship orders made through our eCommerce store, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
