About The Opportunity
The NSH Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator, in conjunction with and reporting to the Zonal / Pharmacy Residency Program Director, is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the delivery of the Residency Program including: leading strategic and operational planning and quality improvement; recruiting and selecting candidates for the program; developing and maintaining policies and procedures; providing support, training and supervision to Residents and Preceptors; and designing and implementing the evaluation of the Residency Program and associated learner outcomes.
The NSH Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator in collaboration with the NSH Pharmacy Residency Program Director will ensure the Program meets or exceeds Canadian Hospital Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB) Accreditation standards and liaise with the CHPRB on matters related to Accreditation. The Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator is expected to demonstrate the competencies as identified by the current CHPRB Accreditation Standards.
The NSH Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator will serve as an active member on a number of committees including the Dalhousie University Pharmacy Residency Committee and NSH CZ Pharmacy Residency Committee.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Successful completion of an Accredited Canadian Pharmacy Residency required
  • Ability to work independently to meet timelines and priorities with little or no supervision
  • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists
  • Registered or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in Nova Scotia
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with research and program development
  • Minimum of two years (five years preferred) experience in pharmacy practice is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous administrative experience in pharmacy an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Communication, facilitation and change management skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation
  • Post-baccalaureate traditional Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), OR MSc., Ph.D.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality work

Hours
  • Permanent Part-Time / 50% FTE / 37.5 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives
$49.40 - $65.64 Hourly
