Pharmacy Student Clinical Jobs

Experience with pharmacy practice and hospital pharmacy management

Extensive knowledge of formularies for medications, prescription drugs, and dispensing practices

Excellent knowledge of medicine, drug interactions, and patient safety

Experience in managing a pharmacy practice or a team of pharmacy professionals is an asset

Generate automation reports via Kroll pharmacy management software

Manage automation workflow to meet workflow targets and schedules

Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills

Pharmacy experience with Long Term Care

Package medications into unit dose pouches using the automation machine

Perform machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including, customer confidentiality and consent management

Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy

Be clearly identifiable to the public

Previous experience in a hospital setting with unit-dose and IV admixture programs is required

Demonstrated experience identifying, resolving and preventing drug related problems to optimize medication therapy and safety.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the members of the interdisciplinary team

Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team required

Post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D., MSc., Ph.D. or equivalent) with relevant post-graduate training and or clinical experience

Two (2) years clinical experience in Oncology an asset

Applicants must be eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the province of Nova Scotia

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent, Part-time / 50% FTE / 37.5 Hours Bi-weekly

Minimum two years experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred

Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics

Effective oral and written communication skills

Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred

Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia

Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs

Communication, facilitation and change management skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Minimum of two years (five years preferred) experience in pharmacy practice is required

Previous administrative experience in pharmacy an asset

Experience with research and program development

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience leading and motivating staff

Experience with direct patient care in a clinical pharmacy practice setting

Evidence of strong communication and collaboration experience

Experience in clinical research, quality, and patient safety initiatives

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree

Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists (NSCP)
