Job Description

Mack Construction Services Ltd. is a turnkey utility construction company. We provide horizontal directional drilling, hydrovac, excavating, and many other services in the telecom, utility and pipeline industry. We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual with a great attitude, who wants to be a part of a great team!


At MACK, you will work with safe, dedicated, and experienced teams committed to meeting client deadlines while upholding the highest of safety and quality standards.


This position will be located out of our office in Sherwood Park, AB.


Qualifications/Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, a designation in accounting is preferred
  • Experience with SiteDocs is an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Experience with MOTIVE is an asset
  • Experience in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint an asset
  • Experience working with QuickBooks accounting system
  • Self-starter and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • High attention to detail


Responsibilities

  • Fleet administration including organization and filing of leases, bills
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • Hotel bookings for field staff
  • Payroll
  • Complete administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
  • Month end reporting
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Day to day general accounting operations including AP, AR, and data entry
  • Answering phones and emails
  • Safety administration including maintaining WCB account, uploading resources into online database, and scheduling training/D&A testing for field staff
  • Purchase order tracking
  • Banking and credit card payments
  • General human resources including posting job ads, completing ROE's, setting-up new employees with onboarding documentation, tracking vacation time, etc.
