Job Description
S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for an Office Manager to join our team at our office in Medicine Hat, AB. This is a full-time position starting immediately. The ideal candidate will train in Swift Current for approx 2-3 weeks.


Since 1966, our company has been designing and building specialized equipment, products, and custom components for end-users and other manufacturers around the world. S3 fosters a respectful, teamwork environment where ideas are valued and everyone contributes with significance.


The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and supervisory skills with well-rounded overall experience accounting transactions and reporting. Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred. The job centers on ensuring daily transactional activities are efficient, on time, and compliant.


Job Overview


  • Production Schedule
  • Maintain Inventory levels of bulk parts
  • Ensure all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety, as outline in our Safety Manual.
  • Material shortages
  • Manage Net MRP Analysis
  • Attend production and group leader meetings and record minutes.
  • Maintain and enter work orders in Max
  • Explosion Program as required
  • Become the company expert in business systems such as; QuickBooks, MAX, Crystal Reports, Excel
  • Office Administration
  • Costing Reports
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the General Manager and or Production Manager.
  • Control of shop orders
  • Data Entry
  • Ensure quality, as outlined in our Quality Manual, is inherent in all tasks performed.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to inspire confidence from supervisors, peers and subordinates
  • Experience in general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, invoicing, vouchering, cheque runs
  • Excellent knowledge with Microsoft software, especially Word and Excel
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Experience in trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Positive and cooperative team player
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an office environment, preferably with a Manufacturing company
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software required
  • Able to organize multiple tasks
  • Experience with financial month end preparations and reconciliation
  • Experience using inventory management systems required
  • Knowledge of payroll and HR rules and systems
