Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Systems Assistant Site Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the site supervisor in overseeing and coordinating electrical system installations, maintenance, and repairs at various construction sites. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems, compliance with safety regulations, and efficient project completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems and demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with other trades and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
- Troubleshoot electrical system issues, diagnose problems, and propose effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and low voltage systems.
- Assist the site supervisor in planning, organizing, and coordinating electrical system installations, maintenance, and repairs at construction sites.
- Assist in supervising a team of electricians, ensuring work is performed efficiently and according to quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of work schedules, budget estimates, and progress reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical system installations, modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Help in the selection and procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and supplies required for project completion.
- Perform site inspections to monitor progress, identify any issues or deviations from plans, and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor to ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various construction site environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in electrical systems or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve electrical system issues.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and supervise a team.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
