Site Supervisor Jobs

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing assigned construction projects.
Skills, Abilities, & Experience
Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Superintendent for commercial or multi family construction. Demonstrate the ability to apply modern project management concepts to daily work. Possess exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple trades and construction tasks at one time. Proven ability to schedule others (trades, employees, equipment).
Ability to use innovative technology in construction management (MS Project, Procore, Excel, Outlook all an asset).
Valid class 5 driver’s licence
Experience operating telehandler and forklift an asset Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of 50-75lbs for up to 8 hours per shift and, able to perform physical labour for extended periods of time in temperature extremes.
Job Duties
In conjunction with project manager, develop and maintain overall project schedule as well as shorter term project schedules as required to execute the project to meet completion date.
Review plans and have thorough knowledge of drawings and specifications. Scheduling and management of – on site Labourers and Trades, material deliveries, usage of equipment to move material, inspections, safety meetings and site meetings, rentals, site cleanup. Manage site documentation and correspondence, including changes to scope (change orders & chargebacks), requests for information (RFI), site instructions (SI), shop drawings and other related project correspondence. Review submittals to ensure work and product is completed as per plans and specifications.
Maintain quality on site by completing quality control inspections and following up to ensure deficiencies are corrected. In conjunction with the Project Manager determine method of construction, manpower requirements, material quantities, equipment, temporary utilities and schedule including hours of work on the project site. Maintain site safety, ensuring all trades are meeting Occupational Health and Safety regulations and adhering to Jacobson Commercial COR safety requirements.
