Production Manager
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
Location: (100% on-site) – Vankleek Hill, ON- MUST LIVE CLOSE TO LOCATION!! (NEAR OTTAWA)
Hours: Mon-Fri – 8:30am to 5:00pm (40 hours/wk.)
Salary: Up to $110,000 + 15% Annual Bonus

Job Summary:
In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the on-time delivery of all projects in a safe manner and timely manner. Develop and maintain a system to accurately monitor labour for production.
Duties:
- Develop the skills and expertise of the department
- Liaise and collaborate with General manager and department staff in an advisory capacity on matters pertaining to project activities within the company, specifically:
- Effectively co-ordinate and administer the company performance review process.
- Identify and provide tools and equipment that may be required for project assembly or commissioning.
- Maintain equipment and inventory levels to manage and maintain current and future projects.
- Conduct CSA scheduling for control panel and equipment upgrades.
- Supervise all Manufacturing staff with respect to recruiting, selection and hiring, orientation, attendance, Health & Safety policies, Workers’ Compensation, progressive discipline, employee relations, performance appraisal, salary administration, training and development, delegation of specific responsibilities and employee dismissal.

- Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implanting continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- Interface with all employees on a day-to-day basis as required to maintain a healthy atmosphere and operation within the business and production priorities of the company.
- Assist with the packing and shipping of projects when required.
- Produce products per scheduled forecast in order to supply customers and fully meet their quality, service and delivery requirements.
- Design and introduce systems to track and report production, productivity and waste on an ongoing basis.
- Train and develop personnel by providing guidance and coaching to achieve goals and objectives.
- Continually meet company housekeeping and safety requirements, to identify, report safety hazards within the plant, meet all WHMIS objectives and standards ensuring that all safety procedures are met.
- Ensure the correct use and maintenance of tools, equipment and supplies.
- Fully abide and actively support company’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.
- Conduct production meetings and review schedules
- Participate cooperatively as an employee within the company performance review process
- Resolve workers’ complaints and / or submit unsettled complaints to the General Manager.
- Manage the production of all products with all production personnel with respect to quality, technology, training, maintenance, safety and the environment.
Requirements:
- BA in Engineering or comparable field of study (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years‘ experience of production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Robotics experience an asset.
- Strong technical and people skills.
