We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Senior Manufacturing Manager. This position is based in Welland, Ontario, Canada.

Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting to the Vice President Operations, the Senior Manufacturing Manager is responsible and accountable for providing direction, planning and execution of new engine manufacturing activities that meet key customer deliverables for quality, productivity, on-time delivery & cost

Core Responsibilities

·Leadership of a participative workforce responsible to produce quality reciprocating gas engines in a team based advanced manufacturing environment

·Work collaboratively with other cross-functional experts to solve real-time manufacturing challenges – lead by example

·Drive continuous improvement including lean six sigma initiatives & projects

·Support company growth targets & long-term strategic planning activities including investments in people, equipment & facilities

·Manage departmental operating expenses in accordance with planned budgets

·Build and manage key performance indicators that support company goals & objectives

·Attract, retain, coach & train top talent – build a high-performance team

·Maintain a healthy working environment by keeping workforce motivated and engaged

·Work closely with [RL(1] [LT(2] Product Engineering & Development teams to ensure a smooth and efficient roll- out of new products (NPIs) in production

·Work collaboratively with the global organizations of Sales & Supply Chain to meet customer delivery schedules

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ Leadership experience in a manufacturing operations position as a plant leader or senior leader role in manufacturing
• Minimum10 years industry experience and/or 5 years reciprocating engine experience[RL(3] [LT(4]
• Lean Six Sigma certification – green belt preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) or equivalent
