Position Title: Post-Pandemic Capacity Building Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours
Hourly rate: $32/Hour
Start Date: TBD

Job Summary
As a Post-Pandemic Capacity Building Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting SCFS’s efforts to recover and rebuild following the COVID-19 pandemic. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing capacity building initiatives to enhance our resilience and effectiveness in the post-pandemic era within the organizational framework. This position requires a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with recovery and the ability to develop and execute comprehensive capacity building strategies that are adaptive to an Anti-oppressive and trauma informed lens. It will also include strategies and policies that are centred around multi-ethnic and diverse communities.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Identify external subject matter experts and consultants to provide specialized training and support.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the organization's post-pandemic capacity needs.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in post-pandemic recovery and capacity building.
- Coordinate training programs, workshops, and seminars to address identified capacity gaps.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive capacity building plan aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and challenges to senior management
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity building initiatives, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Build and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and networks to enhance collaboration and resource-sharing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop relevant training materials and resources.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning opportunities among staff members.
·Support with the development of specialized opportunities and create an employee policy and handbook
·Plan and execute quarterly post-pandemic trainings and support meetings.
·Communicate with community partners and enlist their support and involvement.
·Become familiar with the strengths and capacities, as well as the barriers and challenges faced by both the staff and their clients and, where needed, provide recommendations, or refer them to appropriate resources.
Education
·University degree from a recognized institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Proven experience in capacity building, organizational development, or related fields.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of post-pandemic recovery challenges and strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
