Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Compliance
  • Lead Health and Safety for the facility
  • Conduct regular safety training and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for workplace safety, accident prevention, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Production Management
  • Oversee the standard operating procedures of all day-to-day operations and production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of product while meeting quality standards.
  • Overall responsibility for control and maintenance of manufacturing processes
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prioritize production orders, allocate resources, and resolve any production-related issues.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Procurement teams to ensure necessary supplies are available to meet production schedule.
Quality Assurance
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate corrective actions.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute cross-training matrix
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance the skills and performance of the operations and engineering teams.
  • Lead and manage a team of operators, technicians, contractors, and other personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in CI, driving process improvements, using and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • At least 3-5 years of Production Lead or Supervisor experience within an industrial facility. Experience in custom manufacturing or aerospace industry preferred.
  • Experience in Additive Manufacturing and/or precision machining considered an asset
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership experience leading and managing a team, including coaching and developing staff, performance management, and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or relevant discipline
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
