About The Role
The Managing Principal Consultant position offers an excellent career and growth opportunity for a talented and, highly-motivated professional with significant prior experience in technical consulting.
Reporting to the regional Head of Consulting, the Managing Principal Consultant is responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic, capable, and motivated cloud engineering consultants within the North American Region. The role is responsible for building, mentoring, and scaling the team and building and strengthening relationships with our key clients.
What you’ll be responsible for:

• Reporting to the Leadership Team, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level engagement, where appropriate, maximizing the impact of Sourced with our clients and maintaining our company values;
• You are supporting the business in client project delivery through high-quality execution, the technical excellence of yourself and your team, and building and owning relationships with key client stakeholders;
• Work with your team to develop their capabilities and build a strong personal brand both inside and outside the organization;
• Engagement in building the business by continually identifying new and expanded opportunities; As a Managing Principal Consultant, you will create an exciting and additive intellectual property through thought leadership and be familiar with a broad range of technologies, innovations in the cloud, and adjacent topics;

This role includes both billable and team-leadership accountabilities. Your day to day activities and responsibilities will include:
Consulting and Domain Expertise

• You will create knowledge from our engagements that can be shared across the team to further fuel growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with your peers across the Group to leverage their knowledge and experiences to support continuous improvement within your team.
• Through the above, you will be accountable for ensuring and maintaining the billable utilization for yourself and your team to exceed the company's targets.
• Managing Principal Consultant are the 'on the scene' leaders accountable for our client engagements day-to-day. You will be responsible for leading your team through efficient and effective problem-solving processes, from initial conception through convergence to a solution or approach. It's a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level – and command of all the technical and operational details of execution. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.

Team Building and Leadership

• You will, in tandem with the Head of Consulting and the wider senior leadership team, drive effective OKR's, team performance reviews, cascading organizational goals, as well as individual development plans to support the development and career growth of your team.
• You will form strong team relationships through leading, coaching, and motivating team members, as well as identifying and resolving blockers and conflicts. You will build respect with your peers and your team through your dedication, excellence, 'leading from the front,' and your continued focus on improving the caliber of your teams' execution capabilities.
• The Consulting team is the heart of our business, and hence talent attraction, development, and retention are critical to the company's long-term success. As a Managing Principal, you will be accountable for identifying capability gaps, managing the team skills mix, making informed decisions on potential talent hires, growing and developing the team.

Business Focus and Acumen

• You will be accountable for ensuring that new and prospective client engagements have the highest focus, proposals and statements of work (SOWs) are developed timely and meet the highest quality and accuracy standards.
• You will lead the charge in supporting business development activities, including sales presentations, proposal creation, negotiation, and project estimation, with a purpose to achieve revenue and P/L objectives for each client engagement under your oversight.
• You will provide input and contribute to the region's overall goals and strategic directions and be responsible for communicating the company Vision and Direction to our team members, clients, and external partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that your team can clearly articulate the same.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Agile approach in personal work style, with ability to be flexible and adept in dealing with and resolving ambiguity
• Have a natural problem-solving mindset, be detail-oriented with a creative flair and a bias for action
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program, ideally being Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Have adequate financial acumen with experience running project level P&L.
• Exposure working with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous, including DevOps, CI/CD, etc.
• Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
• Relevant experience in project-based, team-oriented environments and a track record of leading or working in teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced and demanding environments
• 5-7 years plus of relevant experience in technical consulting or related industry experience in digital transformation in verticals such as financial services or the public sector
• A thorough understanding of cybersecurity, IT risk & control practices in cloud-based environments highly advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations.
