Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Manager, Revenue Accounting will lead and manage the Revenue Reporting Unit – comprised of Revenue/Payment Interfaces, Revenue processing, Accounts Receivable and all Revenue related banking transactions - so that TPA can best meet its obligations relating to report accurate revenue and banking transactions, while at the same time meet customer and operations requirements This role will be accountable for building Best Practices Controls to ensure compliance with legislation, protect the organizations revenue and banking integrity. They will be responsible for leading the investigation, interpretation of, and implementation of revenue and banking changes as a result of changes in banking regulations, changes to our partner systems that impact revenue. In addition, the incumbent will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (banks and business partners) to understand and implement best practices.


This role will support a culture of continuous improvement, developing improved financial policies, processes and controls to increase efficiency and effectiveness and protect TPA revenue and banking.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and investigate the root cause of technical issues relating to ERP Revenue Interfaces with external consultants and TPA Centre of Excellence team
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and verification as required
  • Continuously identify process improvements and implement automation processes within ERP system
  • Prepare monthly revenue analytics focused on key performance indicators
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of all processes within the revenue, banking and accounts receivable team
  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable Clerk to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payments from customers and manage the risk of non-payment in conjunction with the Financial Controller; review and approve monthly reconciliations for AR, Intercompany and related parties
  • Coach, mentor and develop the Revenue and Banking team to rise to their full potential while providing timely, constructive and consistent feedback and personal development opportunities
  • Represent TPA as the central point for contact for the banks
  • Lead the daily operations of the revenue, banking and accounts receivable team; mentor staff, providing guidance, training and effective performance management
  • Finance point of contact for IT, Operations and Customer Service teams in dealing with customer issues, interface issues and setting up systems for new car parks
  • Develop and maintain efficient financial templates and models to aid in revenue and payment reconciliations within a high volume, low value retail type environment
  • Prepare and distribute time sensitive Intercompany Revenue reports to related parties
  • Other duties as required
  • Ensure internal controls over revenue cycle “record to report” are effectively maintained to provide accurate reporting on financial results and protect TPA from loss of revenue
  • Lead person responsible to collaborate and coordinate with external parking/mobility vendors and banking services for investigation of issues with IT Interfaces and for process improvement
  • Continuously conduct internal audits on payment machines to assess risks and controls; this requires field work and job shadowing of collections and machine maintenance
  • Review and sign off of all deferred revenue, revenue/payment clearing and bank reconciliations
  • Partner and build sound relationships with various cross-functional groups and management levels towards a common vision
  • Primary point of contact with external and internal auditors for revenue and banking
  • Prepare and review payment card and vendor fees; review and analyze revenue chargebacks and refunds


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Proven ability to work in a team, provide constructive coaching, and foster a positive and rewarding work environment for direct reports, including virtual teams
  • Subject Matter Expert for SAP S4/HANA FICO
  • Strong analytical skills with good understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

  • Has a proven process improvement track record, familiar with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
  • Passion to understand operational business and its linkages to financial processes
  • Superior technical skills, including Excel (pivot tables, model building and auditing)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • University degree, with a business, finance or accounting focus with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to gather and analyze information skillfully and identify and further resolve problems in a timely manner,
  • Accounting designation (CPA) required
  • Ability to partner and build sound relationships to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of API Files, SAP mapping tables to facilitate collaboration with IT and SAP Consultants
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to TPA Core Values
