Reporting to the Director, Game Entertainment & Production, the Manager is responsible for all the videoboard elements, scripting and scoreboard content for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball games. The role oversees and creates detailed scripting, manages all production assets, produces content and oversees creative direction and execution of content.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages all videoboard and creative items loaded into the control room for the show
• Works closely with designers and content team to execute game day features alongside the Director
• Will backfill producer role on game day and produce 10 – 15 games
• Writes and oversees scripting and messaging for in-game inning breaks
• Helps produce, direct and ideate on features and shoots for content
• Ability to write and develop stat and historical based features
• Writes all players scripting and features for game entertainment production days
• Assists in the media management for in-house production, handles all dubs requests, elements and loads for the show
• Responsible for game day management of Control Room to ensure show is loaded
• Works alongside Director to assist in inventory of corporate partner features and assists in the pitch and ideation process for game entertainment
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Game Entertainment, Broadcast, or Production
• Experience producing live events is preferred
• Post-secondary education preferred in Production or Radio and Television Arts
• Strong baseball and stats knowledge required
• Must be comfortable in a control room setting
• Proven experience with production, scripting and game entertainment, preferably in a sports environment
• Strong creative skills coupled with experience in ideation of game entertainment and/or sponsorship activations
• Passion for music, pop culture and sports
• Strong production understanding; editing skills are preferred
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Able and willing to attend all Toronto Blue Jays home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
