Prenuvo operates preventative screening clinics in Vancouver, Silicon Valley, Dallas, Boca Raton, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. New York City and Chicago will be opening soon! Boston, Atlanta, Seattle, and Washington DC will be opening later this year.
The Opportunity
We are changing healthcare and bringing a slow moving goliath of an industry into the present while blazing a trail into the future of radiology and clinical operations through software, automation and AI. We are looking for a Lead Engineer to influence and shape the future of our engineering team!

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team of developers and project managers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

What You'll Do

• Iterate quickly on all stages of automation, performance and tooling, including bringing new products to production
• Maintain and improve existing code bases, design and build features and functionality delivered on time and within scope
• Support designing and architecting software systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and security
• Enhance our applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and seeing them through to execution
• Support a team of developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software products
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• As a senior member of the team, you will have significant responsibility in contributing to the improvement of team culture, growth opportunities, and development
• Identify mentorship and coaching opportunities within the engineering team members and ensure they are supported in doing their best work
• Participate in code and design reviews, support with regular team meetings, and apply software development best practices
• Ensure code quality and maintainability by enforcing coding standards and best practices

What You'll Bring

• Proven leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
• Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Experience in different CI/CD pipelines (like CircleCI, Jenkins or TravisCI)
• You've honed your skills over the last 6+ years solving business challenges with your confident command of the tech stack
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
• You've been developing on one of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure) and have worked on automated testing and deployment pipelines
• The energy you bring to teams is infectious while you see challenges as opportunities for personal, professional, and team growth
• Fullstack knowledge including Python skills, with strong proficiency in Flask / FastAPI and frontend experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, and Redux
• Your bias toward action has kept teams moving forward as has your ability to "GSD" without sacrificing quality
• Proficiency and knowledge of different modern databases like e.g. Postgres and/or DynamoDB
