This position is open in Grande Prairie, Edmonton, and Calgary

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the candidate's experience and aspirations, the role may include the following in the context of an Industrial market sector:

• Power distribution design
• Vendor evaluation and coordination
• Electric heat trace design
• Short circuit, arc flash, and fault analysis
• Assist in the development of company technical standards and procedures
• Control system design (PLC, DCS, RTU etc.)
• Provide technical support on a variety of projects
• Equipment layout designs, lighting layouts and design, cable schedules, and cable tray layouts
• Electrical specifications
• Motor control and protection system design

QUALIFICATIONS

• Field experience and knowledge is an asset.
• Registered or eligible to register with ASET.
• Experience drafting in AutoCAD is an asset.
• Drive to continue to improve existing knowledge base and skill-sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexible to work well under tight schedules.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, and available to attend out of office meetings
• 0-4 years applicable electrical engineering experience.
