Electrical Engineer/Technologist Jobs

We specialize in the development and manufacturing of innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Technologist to join our team in Lloydminster, AB/SK.

Responsibilities:

• Support manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and components
• Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for Upstream Data's product line, with a focus on power generation, mobile power units, and power distribution systems
• Create electrical schematics, bills of materials, and technical documentation
• Participate in the testing and validation of product designs
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians and suppliers to ensure optimal product design and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and components
• Continuously improve existing products and identify areas for innovation and optimization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols
• Knowledge of PLC control, design, and automation is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in CAD software
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and standards (e.g. UL, CSA, NEC)
