The Investment Finance Data Analyst will be responsible for managing all investment-related data used by the organization. This position will require you to work closely with various teams within CAAT and external vendors to ensure data is accurate, complete, and timely. You will design and implement data control processes to support data integrity.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good understanding of databases and report development concepts, including interdependencies between databases and attributes
• Strong communication skills, being able to communicate comfortably with both internal and external service provider teams
• Self-motivated, results driven and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines when required
• Working knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and associated investment data, with exposure to marketable securities, derivatives, private market investments (e.g., Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity)
• Strong team player who is able to collaborate and work alongside various stakeholders within CAAT
• Experience in integration with external data sources including use of APIs
• Programming skills (Python, SQL and/or VBA) will be considered an asset
• Experience with Caissa (Burgiss Platform) would be an asset
• Community College Diploma or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum three years of progressive experience in the accounting/financial field, pension industry or financial services
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools considered an asset

Once here you will:

• Conduct regular data quality checks and providing reports on the quality of data (as needed)
• Provide technical support to Investments and Investment Finance teams in regards to data-related issues
• Research, source, and map new data in support of Investments and reporting requirements
• Maintain and coordinate data updates within our investment portfolio reporting software (Caissa)
• Document data flows, including specifications for integrity checks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Investments, Investment Finance) on project tasks and to service ad-hoc requests
• Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and work closely with vendors to update systems and applications
• Serving as the subject matter expert for all things data, providing guidance and training to team members
