Intermediate IT Systems & Network Engineer
NetraClos is a managed services provider serving the IT, Automation, and tailored Software application needs of a variety of businesses such as Logistics, Hospitality, and retail are a few to name, and we are looking for anIntermediate IT Systems and Network Engineer.The ideal candidate will join our Network design, configuration, and support team in Mississauga. As a member of the IT team, you will be effectively applying technology to solve complex problems, which has been a critical factor in our client's success and, ultimately, the success of our business growth and sustainability. As an IT Managed Services provider firm, the company manages a wide range of IT infrastructure, and our customers heavily rely on the IT team for a variety of different functions; the candidate requires a combination of hands-on intermediate to senior technical skills involving large enterprise solutions, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
What You Will Do
- Provide Level 3 technical problem resolution. Provide training and mentorship for network engineers and administrators.
- Provides Citrix, VM and Hyper V, Cisco & HP Switches, Fortinet, Firewall and Routers configuration, support, and administration.
- Responsible for overall system and infrastructure availability and developing a resilient infrastructure to reduce failures.
- Identifies opportunities to simplify IT Service Desk operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure service delivery methods and procedures.
- Remote network management
- Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels.
- Work closely with the IT Service Desk and other Specialists to ensure a timely, robust, and comprehensive service transition process.
- Identify technology issues, develop required solutions, and implement improvements to enhance the network configuration.
- Develop and lead the replacement of infrastructure at the end of life.
- Responsible for day-to-day system administration, including internal network management, VPN, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and system backups.
- Work with the network team to identify short- and long-term changes to the network configuration to reduce user support and optimize network operations.
- Identify and implement changes required to the network configuration to meet business operations and growth requirements.
- Liaison with business users, application development leads and network staff.
- Ensure the network is secure, available, stable, efficient, and scalable.
What You Bring
- Knowledge of Business Continuity Plans, design & operations
- Technical solid problem resolution skills.
- Good understanding of IT security and Data protection
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (Design, Security and Administration), Messaging (MS Exchange, Archiving, Unified Communications)
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in LAN, WAN & SD-WAN Technologies.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IT/ Networking
- A results-oriented individual that has a track record of implementing and supporting technologies.
- Quick technology learner, easily adaptable, and up to date with the latest network technologies.
- Proficient with VM Technologies (Hyper-V, VMware etc.)
- Linux, Windows, Mac/iOS server and client management.
- Strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality and efficient work.
- Undergrad Degree in IT or a related discipline
- Ability to build solid working relationships with fellow IT and application team members, business support staff, vendors, and consultants.
- Positive attitude and happy disposition.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including planning, prioritizing, organizing, managing, monitoring, adjusting, and mentoring.

- Microsoft Certification MCSE + Security
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
- Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) - (Desirable)
- CISCO Certified (CCNA or CCNP)
- ITIL Service delivery manager qualifications
- Good knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure
Full-time hours:40 per week
