Network Engineer Jobs

BALANCED+ is looking for a Network Engineer to network technical support and execute IT projects in diverse business environments. This person must be a flexible self-starter with strong communication skills, a strong and positive attitude and hands-on experience in computer networking and network security products. Individuals would be responsible for servicing our client network troubleshooting requests, deploying new or upgrading old network equipment, and providing sound advice regarding their cybersecurity infrastructure.

We are looking for experienced people or those with directly related college diplomas or university degrees.

Responsibilities

·Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections, and cabling connections

·Perform troubleshooting to network failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long-term efficiency of network

·Inspect LAN/WAN/Internet infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs

·Test and configure software and maintain and repair network devices

·Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement

·Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work

·Do regular data backups to protect the organization’s information

·Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions

·Coordinating with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software

·Collaborating with peers to execute daily operations and special projects

·Maintaining records of client’s information systems and ensuring compliance at all levels within project teams

Job Requirements

·A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements

·Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position

·Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills

·Good communication skills

·Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies

·Hands-on experience with common software and hardware

·Hands-on knowledge of the Fortinet line of products, specifically FortiGate, FortiSIEM, and FortiSOAR

·Fortinet NSE certifications are required

·College diploma, BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field

·3+ years of work experience in a professional environment is preferred

Qualifications

·Knowledge and experience in delivering network engineering, and cybersecurity

·Experience in performing server reoccurring maintenance

·Cloud (Azure, Cloud VPN, Cloud Fortigate))

·Cybersecurity (VPN, MFA, EDR, phishing simulation, spam filtering)

·Ability to manage monitoring (Zabbix) and ticketing (Zendesk) systems

·Project management, time organization

·University or college degree in software development, computer science, engineering, or math (or in progress)

·Demonstrated ability to work effectively with emerging technologies
