6+ years of infrastructure network design, implementation and team management in a global environment

Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents in accordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies and operational impact

Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed solutions to aid management in making procurement decisions.

Maintain network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in support of incident and problem management. Recommended options to address identified issues.

Work with appropriate stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, in order to identify and resolve business systems issues.

Experience with enterprise scale, multi-point WAN networks

Advanced working knowledge of personal computer software packages, networks, operating systems

Education: active industry certifications, degree/diploma in networking/IT would be an asset.

8 years of experience as a Network Engineer deploying, configuring, and supporting Infrastructure (Cisco, HP Aruba, and Extreme 4000 serial above).

Excellent communication – written and verbal in English is required.

Must be authorized to work in Canada.

CCNA or equivalent certification with proven intermediate routing and switching knowledge;

JNCIA or higher certification would be considered and asset;

CyberSecurity certifications are considered an asset;

RuggedCom, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper experience is an asset;

Experience with BGP considered an asset;

Experience with fiber technologies such as: OTDR, Optical Power meter, GPON, Optical splitter, CWDM/DWDM is considered an asset;

7+ years of experience designing and deploying Data Centre network technologies (MAN/WAN)

7+ years of hands-on technical working experience with various Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox at an enterprise level capacity:

Hands-on technical working experience with Cisco ACI or similar software defined technologies

Strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus

·Accountable to provide ad hoc project management for smaller corporate initiatives specific to new technology introduction.

·Education and experience (one of the following combinations):

oExperience coming up with standards-based designs that align with vendor capabilities and service-intent.
