#Department

In this role, you will be focused on the build (deployment) and the growth of our global network (both Datacenter and Backbone).

We are constantly moving with great team engineers from many countries and inspiring intercultural differences (France, Canada, US, India)

You'll work closely with Network Design teams (DC and Backbone), Network Reliability Engineers team (RUN), Project Managers and with various vendors and partners (including hardware vendors, logistics, datacenter and network peering providers) to maintain and improve our global infrastructure, and to plan and execute with state of the art procedures the expansion of our network.

You will further be responsible for the implementation of processes and visibility measurements for consistent and effective management of our infrastructure.

This role relies on 3 pillars :

• Network deployment best practices
• Network planning ( anticipate the growth ).
• Automation whenever possible (to be able to build and monitor at scale)

This is a highly visible position that requires deep technical understanding of datacenter infrastructure, physical and logical networking, linux, and basic experience with data analysis and project management. Furthermore, this team does not supports 24/7 systems nor periodic on-calls.

The projected start date for this position is September 2023.

#Profile

• 5+ years of experience building, and supporting a large-scale enterprise grade networks and providing highly available and scalable solutions

• Strong understanding of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, Arista, JunOS)

• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis

• Experience with Python or Go and automation concepts

• Professional experience with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, AGILE) Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus

• Comfortable with Peering & Transit concepts

• Strong project management culture and on time delivery

• Creative approach to problem solving and ability to think out of the box

• Team oriented with can-do attitude

• Montreal based or willing to relocate

Bonus Points

• Good knowledge of French and English; experience working with infrastructure in multiple countries.

• Experience with continuous/rapid deployment

• Experience working in a 24/7/365 mission-critical service environment

• Comfortable with remote “lights-out” and out-of-band access to data center resources

• Knowledge of the OSI-model and experience isolating network, hardware and software issues.
