Job Description
Human Resources Business Partner (Services)

The Human Resources Business Partner, reports to Vice President, Human Resources and works closely with the HR Team and leaders of our Services Division in Canada. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor and will be a key player for employees and management regarding best HR practices.

Core Responsibilities


Promote


  • Promote the values and culture of our organization
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and ensure compliance with all employment and labor laws
  • Act as ambassador of Equisoft’s employer brand by actively building and supporting the employee experience


Advise


  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of human resource practices and tools in collaboration with the HR team
  • Accompany and advise managers on human resources best practices, whether in staffing, change management, labor relations, training or performance management
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, development plans)
  • Participate in global projects and new initiatives to support HR objectives aligned with the business goals


Support


  • Advise and support employees and managers in the application and interpretation of policies, procedures and legislations
  • Act as a liaison between the various HR team members to ensure that HR services are provided and needs of internal clients are met in a timely fashion
  • Support training initiatives, including coordinating employee recognition programs and the onboarding process
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and employee engagement


MUST-HAVES


  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent working proficiency of French and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Office
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in human resources in a similar role
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines


NICE-TO-HAVES


  • Experience in the IT environment, ideally software development, and in an international context
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industries
  • Knowledge of US Labor Laws
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation
