A Day in the Life

This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and utilizing data analysis techniques to support data-driven decision-making to drive HR initiatives.

Additional key responsibilities include


  • Support the enhancement of performance management processes by providing guidance on goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support Allnorth’s goals and objectives.
  • Assess and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance to managers and team members on HR policy, procedures, and best practices.
  • Partner with hiring managers and internal TA team to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, contribute to the recruitment process and successful onboarding of the new team member.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects, such as leadership development, technology implementation, change management, and process improvement. Collaborates with HR team on new initiatives and leverages team expertise in delivering and implementing functional initiatives to client groups.
  • Travel is required up to 20% to be physically present in our operations (including field operations)
  • Identify training needs and partner with Learning and development to develop initiatives to enhance team member skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team member feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to design and administer competitive compensation and benefit programs through industry benchmarking to attract and retain talent.


What You’ll Bring to the Team


  • Interest in personal development and keeping current in human resource practices through external resources and building a strong HR network.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient in all areas of Canadian/Provincial employment law and human rights legislation; familiarity with United States employment law.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to reprioritize to meet the demands of a high-volume portfolio.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in the engineering consulting industry.
  • Experience with disability management and the administration of a drug and alcohol policy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization through effective listening, coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and relationship management.
