Purpose of Role
Central to Condair’s success is a suite of digital tools that enable support our sales and service organizations to provide optimal solutions for our customers.These tools include, among others;
·Condair Help – Cloud-based expert system providing equipment sizing, selection, and ordering functions.
·Condair Parts – Intuitive spare parts ordering, exploded views, and after-sales support
·Condair Configure APIs – Remote load sizing and product configuration optimized for OEMs
·BIM Object – Enhanced 3D product models for integration into smart building designs
·Internal Integrations - Toolset integrations with CRM and ERP systems.
The Global Product Manager (GPM), Software and Tools, works alongside the Global Product Manager (GPO), Software and Tools, to define and implement a growth and quality-oriented roadmap for these products.Success requires close collaboration with nearly all departments at Condair as well as our external development partners.
Global Product Managers inspire and lead cross-departmental teams to identify development opportunities that create value for the business.They use their strong knowledge of the business, customer environment, sales channels, and competitive situation to research and define and prioritize new digital products, tools, and features.A keen attention to detail and exceptional planning skills control development scope and help to achieve the target timelines and quality levels.Refined communication skills allow GPMs to collect and refine user inputs across many cultures, seeking to understand the root problems to solve.Clear focus and collaboration allows the GPO and the GPM to define strategic roadmaps and deliver the most valuable product improvements.

User and Market Research
·Collect and document feedback from users, sales, internal teams, and external market inputs
·Conduct customer interviews, idea testing, and feature testing
·Evaluate competitor tools
·Visit key customers, users, and relevant industry trade events
·Work closely with other GPMs and local Technical Product Managers (TPMs) to collect additional market feedback
Feature Concept
·Translate user inputs into feature requirements
·Identify opportunities to create meaningful new software features
·Define and document required engineering calculations and business logic/rules
·Collaborate with UI/UX Team to define features
·Organize and execute user prototype testing sessions
Product Planning
·Rank, prioritize, and plan development activities according to available resources
·Communicate development plan with key internal stakeholders for approval
·Ensure products maintain up to date with evolving technologies
·Lead product roadmap development
·Groom and manage the backlog
·Lead annual resource requirements planning and budgeting
Development Pipeline
·Complete and/or review product introduction templates
·Respond to questions from development teams
·Coordinate internal and external resources during development sprints
·Own user engagement KPIs and drive continuous improvement
·Provide regular communication and report development KPIs to project stakeholders
·Maintain budgets, review and approve external supplier invoices
Lead Product/Feature Launch
·Plan and execute product and feature launches
·Develop training materials and promotional concepts
·Coordinate marketing and market introduction plans
·Communicate details to internal and external stakeholders
Product Support and Training
·Support key users in supporting their local markets
·Develop and conduct training and key user onboarding
·Manage key user access
·Investigate and document bugs or reported issues
·Review KPI reports and usage metrics
Miscellaneous
·Responsible for assigning a deputy for his/her work
·Performs the quality assurance tasks in his area of responsibility
·Adhere to Quality Assurance System and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
·Other duties as assigned by management
·Up to 25% travel (domestic and international) is required
Qualifications and Professional Skills
Education & Experience
Engineering or Technical Degree. Minimum 5 years of experience in a software development or product management environment.
Software Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MySQL, Photoshop, Jira, AHA!, Shopify, Java, and/or enterprise resource planning systems (SAP) is an asset.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with a software development environment.
Project Methodologies
Familiarity with common software project development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or KANBAN is an asset.
Certificates/ Licenses
Proof of ability to work in Canada and ability to travel abroad (globally).
Personal Characteristics and Competencies
Language Skills
Excellent verbal, writing and comprehension skills in English.Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and expressiveness with the English language. Demonstrated ability to communicate technically, in writing and verbally. Above-average written communication and editing skills.
German, French, and/or other languages are considered an asset.
Reasoning Ability
Strong planning and organization skills are required.Ability to prioritize work set targets and make decisions.Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure.

Confidence presenting in front of groups.
