AstraZeneca has Digital Health as one of top strategic priorities for the company, we have accumulated years of experience enabling to embed digital health at scale in our business and lead with our digital patient solutions, our goal is to improve patient experience and outcomes.

Control Tower is one of our top digital priorities, with the strive to accelerate clinical research, regulatory submissions, commercial excellence and financial performance. Product Owners for Control Tower are experience product managers who in a matrix structure will own the agile product team and focus on value delivery of a specific part of the product, the product team includes; designers, data scientists, software engineers, data engineers, business analysts and project managers.

Control tower is already live in R&D, with a successful quality product that won CEO award in 2021. The strong product is already being used daily by more than 1300 daily users, from CEO and leadership team, to leaders across R&D, regional leaders and country leaders in more than 40 countries.

Based on the success of Control Tower Clinical, and sponsored by AstraZeneca’s CEO, we are growing the product to other parts of the business including finance (in Beta), commercial, portfolio management and

regulatory.

What you will do :

• Deliver effective prioritisation regarding the product backlog items in order to deliver maximum outcome with minimum input in line with business prioritises.
• Deliver & handle a powerful product. Lead and assist in the design of large sophisticated deliverables (e.g. Control Tower). Lead the process to identify and solve operational needs, and drive delivery to plan by acting as a key decision-maker within development teams.
• Review, analyze and evaluate business systems/processes and user-needs while serving as the key link between business operations and IT development teams.
• Deliver quality improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Lead the risk management framework and report risks to advise senior partners on areas for attention and solutions.
• Influence key senior partners, and provide clear & concise advice including recommendations to aid good decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams and set clear strategic direction by building and driving an implementation plan. Responsible for stimulating conceptual thinking and creativity, and challenging the status quo for continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements:

• A well-developed set of Influencing skills.
• Solid understanding of Agile development practices, methodologies, and tools.
• Capable of managing many collaborators across different cities and countries.
• University degree MSc or equivalent experience
• Availability to travel on an ad-hoc basis
• Proven strong leadership with an enterprise attitude, learning agility, networking and negotiation skills and collaborative approach supportive of the delivery of business objectives
• A creative, analytical, and curious mind. A team-player.
• Some digital product management experience
