Job Description
Job Summary: As a Front Office Clerk at Canada, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our guests. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Your friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and attention to detail will contribute to a memorable guest experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a secure and organized cash drawer.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to manage room availability.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Handle guest payments and process transactions accurately.
  • Reservation Management:
  • Complete checklists and daily reports to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Phone and Email Communication:
  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain the front desk area in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Ensure accurate input of guest information into the hotel's reservation system.
  • Manage reservations, including processing bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling and storage.
  • Prepare and distribute guest welcome packages and key cards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions.
  • Address billing discrepancies and provide receipts as needed.
  • Guest Services:
  • Handle guest requests, inquiries, and special accommodations.
  • Payment Handling:
  • Provide directions and recommendations for dining, entertainment, and local attractions.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience in a customer service or front office role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hotel reservation systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to handle multitasking and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
