Sunray Group of Hotels - Delta Hotels by Marriott Markham, is hiring anAssistant Front Office Manager
The Assistant Front Office Manager will hold a passion for hospitality and guest service bringing self-confidence, energy, and dedication to the hotel daily.
A natural coach and mentor, our successful candidate will verify all brand standards are maintained while motivating team members to exceed guest expectations.
TheAssistantFront Office Managerwill:
· This position is responsible for assisting the Front Office & Rooms Manager with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front office.
· Be responsible for leading the strategic direction and daily operations of the Front Office team. The team includes the front desk, switchboard, night audit and bell services.
· Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
· Improves service by communicating and assisting team members to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
· Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
· Empowers team members to provide excellent customer service.
· Monitors and reviews Guest Satisfaction Metrics and other data to identify areas of improvement. Responds to and handle guest problems and complaints.
· Lead and inspire their team to deliver the highest standards of anticipatory, warm and gracious guest service from the point of guest arrival to the point of departure and the many points in between.
· Ensure that every moment at Delta is thoughtfully considered and impeccably delivered to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Job Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of Front Office managerial experience, preferably with a full-service hospitality asset.
· Minimum 2-3 year diploma or degree from an accredited college or university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or related major;
· Extensive knowledge of Opera and familiarity with computer software (Microsoft Office, Payroll, Guest App, Key Control)
· Exceptional communication and guest service skills are a must.
· A demonstrated ability to form, train and motivate high-performing teams.
· Proficiency in hotel property management technology is required.
· Prior experience in a Marriott property is considered an asset.
Minimum Requirements:
·Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
·Ability to stand for long periods of time and communicate effectively with staff and guests.
·Ability to utilize basic computer functions and experience in a hospitality environment.
·Able to work as part of a team.
·Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which includes background and drug screening.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
