About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our regional finance team overseeing industrial metallurgical operations in Canada, the US, and the Philippines. As the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of financial analysts and overseeing revenues, working capital and commercial analysis You will also play a key role in leading and coordinating the planning exercises related to feed streams, production, revenues and inventories. Your role will also involve supporting the operating and commercial departments with margin analysis and key strategic business opportunities. The position reports directly to the Head of Planning and Business Performance.
In this role, you will:
• Manage a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Oversee month-end reporting, analysis and deliverables for revenues, profitability and working capital for our North American Assets.
• Manage the planning exercises for feed streams, production, revenues and inventories with operations and commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead, execute strategic business analysis, opportunities and support commercial teams in the decision making relative to metal purchase, sales and other key areas.
• Coordinate execution of all financial analysis, reporting related to working capital, hedging and cashflow and drive key inputs to support optimal inventory levels and cash utilization.
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management on financial performance and potential areas of concern.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including marketing and traffic teams, operations, corporate finance, and other functional areas.
• Be the main lead of forecasting and budgeting model and system for net revenues, inventories and freight.
• Utilize SAP, HFM and Excel Power Query tools to enhance financial analysis processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior finance roles preferably in the mining or manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Reliable background with cashflow, hedging models is a strong advantage point
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultures.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant financial software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
• Have the willingness and curiosity to dive into operational processes and question pre-established data and parameters.
Language: Bilingual French and English
