Equity Research Translator/Research Reviewer

岗位职责:

1. Accurate and timely translation of the assigned English language work into Chinese language (and vice-versa) comprising the following points as well:

i) Able to understand the meaning and context of research reports or any other research related material given to you, and is able to translate into Chinese language by making sure that original context and meaning is preserved

ii) Able to consult, discuss and highlight any content related issues or concerns with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately

iii) Able to refer to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation, where applicable

iv) Able to research, check and confirm statements, numbers, company/ product names and other material in written research submitted (as necessary)

v) Able to ensure consistency between underlying arguments, financial models, and investment conclusions (as applicable)

2. Translating a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical and commercial materials

3. Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with client and internal EVS stakeholders (Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, Solutions) to deliver high quality written communications with tight deadlines

4. Managing projects/deliverables by actively communicating with team members about deadlines and informing all interested parties of deliverable timelines and status

5. Responsible for timely escalation of any issues to your manager and assisting them in resolving issues as well

6. Adhering to all client-side and EVS departmental policies and procedures

任职要求:

• Degree, or equivalent, in English, with excellent Mandarin language skills in both editing and writing

• Experience in using translation tools or ability to learn and use various tools to perform translation and publishing tasks

• Minimum 3 years of Translation/ Editing experience in financial institutions, specifically in equity research domain is a plus

• Strong English to Chinese (Simplified Mandarin) translation capability

• High attention to details, focused on effectiveness and accuracy, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Comprehensive knowledge of international financial markets

• Highly collaborative with an ability to work in a team environment

• Independent self-starter, who can work independently or with minimal supervision, and has strong work ethics

• Sound project management and organizational skills required

• Excellent desktop publishing skills, including a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and other MS-Office applications
