Presentation of the organization

The St. Mary's Research Centre (SMRC) is a member of CIUSSS-de-l'Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal and a McGill Network Research Centre that specializes in research focused on the organization of care, patient-centred interventions and community partnerships that promote quality and proximity of care. Located in the heart of the Côte-des-Neiges district, the CRSM is also involved in research on optimizing care for vulnerable populations.


Summary of roles and responsibilities

The incumbent will work closely with the principal investigator and project manager of e-IMPAQc. E-IMPAQc is a research program focusing on the implementation of patient-reported outcome tools in cancer care centres around Quebec. The e-IMPAQc team supports the development, implementation and evaluation of patient-centred electronic programs for detecting, monitoring, and managing physical and emotional challenges across the cancer trajectory.


The incumbent will support the management and coordination of various activities related to the research program including:

·research development,

·project implementation,

·data management,

·report and manuscript writing,

·dissemination of research,

·training and supervision of research project staff.

More specific requirements include:

·preparing study protocols and managing ethics submissions, amendments and reviews across multiple study sites;

·planning staffing needs: training and supervising research assistants;

·developing research manuals detailing study procedures and recruitment and follow-up tools;

·developing and maintaining data collection tools and procedures (programming data capture software like Qualtrics, REDCap, and LimeSurvey), verifying incoming data for cohesion and completion and making corrections or providing retraining to staff responsible for data collection as needed;

·assisting with intervention development and overseeing administrative aspects of implementation, including mapping clinical processes to facilitate integration of the technology in clinical contexts;

·overseeing and documenting adherence of project staff to protocols, procedures and timelines;

·evaluating and reporting on project progress and problem-solving as needed;

·ensuring the projects are conducted in accordance with all relevant guidelines and that data access and management are in accordance with institutional requirements.


Additionally, the incumbent will:

·Assist the principal investigator in preparing grant proposals, writing reports, and with other dissemination and knowledge translation activities, including postings on the web and social media.

·Organize meetings and communication with research partners, funding agencies, ministries, and other consultants; maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and assist with development of new partnerships to strengthen knowledge sharing and translation.


Requirements

•MSc in a related field

•Bilingual (English-French)

•At least 5 years of relevant experience including:

oDeveloping research protocols and standard operating procedures

oSupervising and supporting research assistants with recruitment and patient follow-up

oData management, reporting and interpretation (familiarity with Qualtrics, REDCap and/or LimeSurvey a must)

oBehavioural and or psychosocial intervention implementation in clinical contexts

•Additional experience or background in implementation science and change management an asset
