Description:
* In depth knowledge of piping design, valve specification, and general knowledge in mechanical equipment and packages - Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Towers, Flares, Fired Heaters, Compressor packages, Instrument Air packages - etc.
* Experience in rotating equipment is an asset but not a requirement
* Working knowledge of industry codes and standards - ASME B31.3/B31.1, ASME BPVC, CSA Z662, API 650, API 579, ASME PCC-1/2, TEMA
* Experience in stress analysis and use of CAESAR II software is an asset
* Experience in other design software's such as PV Elite, Compress, Tank, HTRI, an asset but not a requirement
* Experienced with supporting small inhouse MOC's with piping design, piping stress analysis, and other general mechanical scopes
* Troubleshooting operational issues with valves, equipment, piping, pipelines, etc.
* Supporting capital projects in assurance activities of 3rd party deliverables and design development - PID , mechanical equipment list/datasheets, material selection diagrams, specialty item list/datasheets, RFP/RFQ, Technical Bid Evaluations, and Study work
* Assurance of compliance with Canada Specifications and experience with reviewing and assessing technical deviation against specifications
* Likely 8-10 year intermediate mechanical engineer
