Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work under Hawiyah Gas Storage Development (HGSD). As a Sr. Engineer, you will lead troubleshooting to identify the root causes of failures for several types of rotating equipment such as gas compressors, air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, etc. In addition, you are expected to have full knowledge and experience machinery vibration analysis in addition to other reliability practices (predictive maintenance, lubrication, etc). You will also provide technical support relating to plant processes, equipment performance and reliability, energy efficiency, safety, cost savings, innovation and new technology applications. Additionally, you will provide technical review and support to plant modifications and equipment upgrade. HGSD process hydrocarbons at the highest standards of safety, reliability, efficiency and in an environmentally responsible way through empowered competent teams and using state of the art technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance, troubleshooting rotating equipment related issues.
• Leads investigations of rotating equipment failures and trips, and generates associated reports.
• Trains, mentors, and develops young engineers.
• Develops, evaluates, and reviews rotating equipment engineering designs for reliability enhancements and required modifications/upgrades.
• Reviews historical data of equipment and conducts reliability studies.
• Develops and maintains reliability reports for rotating equipment.
• Identifies, assesses, and implements new technologies to enhance process safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Develops and reviews rotating equipment design packages.

Requirements:

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized and approved institution.
• Able to propose and deploy reliability improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas.
• Possesses a Fundamental Engineering (FE) certification and is recommended to have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
• Capable of developing design packages and conducting studies related to rotating equipment.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in rotating equipment design, maintenance, assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, optimization, troubleshooting, producing detailed reports, and developing sound technical evaluations.
• Preferred membership with internationally recognized technical societies.
• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
• Has a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry operating facilities.
• Knowledgeable in international standards and best practices such as API, ASME, ANSI, etc.
• Knowledgeable in rotating equipment shop and field repairs/maintenance.
