Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization within our Manufacturing Technical Support Division team. The Manufacturing Technical Support Division is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements for our Global Manufacturing Admin Area. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of GM Operating facilities. Your primary role will be to handle process safety engineering aspects. This will include ensuring safety management compliance and improving safety of multiple operating facilities from Global Manufacturing Admin Area. You will also be responsible for providing technical support on high priority process safety engineering and management issues.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and monitoring the use of refinery Management of Change (MOC) on a daily basis, and conducting MOC audits.
- Developing and maintaining safety policies, documents, and procedures.
- Conducting on-site observations and field inspections to gather data for process safety analyses.
- Conducting internal benchmarking studies among oil and gas refineries.
- Monitoring Process Safety Event Reporting and Evaluation within the refinery.
- Developing and delivering training materials to enhance process safety awareness among refinery personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations in all operating facilities.
- Collaborating with refinery teams to identify opportunities for Process Hazard Analysis and providing recommendations for safer operations.
- Organizing technical exchange workshops among oil and gas refineries.
Requirements:
- Having a minimum of 15 years of experience in refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries.
- Holding a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Having a working knowledge of oil and gas-related plant processes.
- Having substantial experience in data collection and analytics to improve safety concerns and provide advice for enhanced safety performance.
- Possessing strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of process safety engineering.
- Demonstrating proficiency in industry codes and standards such as API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
- Being familiar with the development of process safety roadmaps and setting safety key performance indicators.
- Having strong management and coordination skills.
